Data Deletion Instructions

What gets deleted
When you request data deletion, we remove all of the following from kite's systems:
- Your encrypted Instagram access token
- Your Instagram account profile (id, username, display name, picture URL)
- All comments and media metadata associated with your account
- All replies you sent through kite
- Your AI-generated personality profile
- Your learned patterns (signature phrases, avoided words, etc.)
- Reply templates and avoid-word entries you created
- All embedding vectors tied to your account
- Push notification subscription endpoints
How to request deletion
Option 1 — In-app (recommended, fastest)
- Open kite at kite-dev.kite-app.dev and sign in.
- Open the Settings screen (gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "ログアウト" (Sign out).
- Your access token is invalidated immediately. All other data tied to your account is purged within 7 days.
Option 2 — Disconnect from Instagram
You can revoke kite from Instagram directly: open Instagram → Settings → Account Center → Apps and Websites → kite → Remove. This invalidates the token at Meta's side. We also delete your data within 7 days when we detect a revoked token.
Option 3 — Email request
For deletion outside of the in-app flow (for example if you cannot sign in), email tomo1208.japan@gmail.com from the email address associated with your kite account, including:
- Your Instagram username
- The phrase "kite data deletion request"
We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 7 days.
Verification
Once deletion is complete, attempting to sign in to kite with the same Instagram account will return no historical data — the experience will be identical to a brand-new account.
Backups
Cloudflare D1 maintains operational backups for disaster recovery. Your deleted data will not appear in the live service after deletion, and any backup copies are rotated and overwritten within 30 days.
